Description
This artwork series is based upon vintage drawings of bicycles, in this case, an 1867 "penny-farthing" also known as a high wheel or high wheeler. Penny-farthing is a term used to describe a type of bicycle with a large front wheel and a much smaller rear wheel that was popular after the boneshaker, until the development of the safety bicycle, in the 1880s. They were the first machines to be called "bicycles".
This is perfect artwork for any cyclist or vintage bicycle lover! Collect the whole series: they look great displayed as a set! (This patent artwork also available in a blueprint style.)
