Centaur Series: Autumn Walk is a digital art photomanipulation and digital painting by artist Nikki Smith. This piece is sure to awaken the imagination!
In Greek mythology, a centaur is a mythical creature blending half horse and half human - in this case a composite creature with the body of a horse and the torso of a beautiful woman. A *lot* of time went into creating this piece, from seamlessly blending horse and human anatomy to hand painting fur and hair with a Wacom tablet. I wanted her to look as realistic as possible, and went through several iterations until I was satisfied with her appearance. I also have a less modest version of this artwork (available upon request), with hair swept back over her shoulder.
